TEMPLOVA

school project | Prague | 2005

If you're standing at the Old Town Square, one of Prague main squares, facing Tyn Cathedral there is a street just behind the Cathedral, called Stupartska. At the end of this street there is a small lot with no function. The point was to design a multifunctional house for this specific lot in very city center. The house repect the hight of neighbouring houses. Five floors for three independetnt functions. Ground floor is ment for small café, attracting people passing by to come in. First floor is accessible by exterior stairs from the terrace. There is a photographic gallery. From faraway you can easily see the posters for new exhibitions in big window facing to Stupartska street. Upper part of the house is private, one three storeys flat and terrace on the top of the building, accesible by another exterior stairs.
